The Wabash Township Trustee, Jennifer Teising, and the three members of the township board, Elizabeth Tran, Brendan Betz and Michael Oxenrider, were elected in the 2018 general election. Michael Oxenrider recently relocated outside of the district and Cinnamon Gallatin was elected in a special election August 2019. Elizabeth Tran stepped down and Michelle Wietbrock was elected in a special election Feb 17, 2020. The term of office is 4 years and began January 1, 2019. The trustee is mainly responsible for:

Wabash Township encompasses most of West Lafayette city, including Purdue, east to the Wabash River, west to 500, north to the Tippecanoe county line, and south to the Wabash River.

Wabash Township is the largest township in Tippecanoe County

The population is 59,000. Wikipedia states our township is one of the most culturally diverse in the United States. According to the US Census Bureau 39.7% of our residents are below the poverty line.
